<i>Lorna Mitchell</i> has <a href="http://www.lornajane.net/posts/2009/PHP-Barcelona-2009-Round-Up">posted her wrapup</a> of this year's <a href="http://www.phpbarcelona.es/">PHP Barcelona</a> conference that happened just this past weekend.
</p>
<blockquote>
I spent the last few days in sunny Spain at the PHP Barcelona conference as a speaker. [...] The conference itself was excellent [...] I also saw some great talks from the other speakers there, some were people I often see at conferences, others were familiar names, and yet more were people I'd never heard of but I certainly learned a lot from all these groups.
</blockquote>
<p>
She notes that, contrary to what she expected, most of the talks were presented in English showing an "interesting cultural shift" in some of the international conferences.
</p>
<p>
If you missed the conference, you can find out more about the sessions <a href="http://www.phpbarcelona.es/">on their site</a> and some pictures <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lornajane/tags/barcelona">on</a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sebastian_bergmann/sets/72157622710571124/">flickr</a>.
