The fine people over at Wrox Press have come out with a new book, just for the newbies out there - Beginning PHP4. The book covers the basic concepts behind PHP and how to use some of the simplest functions. Also, it includes a a complete tutorial in the PHP language, installation guide and troubleshooting tips, an introduction to relational databases and MySQL, and practical worked examples throughout, including detailed case study. It even has a section near the back with all of the PHP4 functions documented. Pretty cool, guys! Looks like another job well done!
