The Web Developer's Journal posted a new article, "Why PHP?" about why PHP is one of the most popular modules for Apache out these days. It discusses the benefits and features that PHP users enjoy, and even briefly mentions some of the downsides. Also today, PHPBuilder.com has a new posting about using DOM XML as an alternative to Expat. For those that don't know, DOM stands for Document Object Model and is a method for parsing XML documents. Support for it can be compiled into PHP easily.
