IBM, in all their infinite wisdom (heh), has provided us with an article that talks all about the top five major scripting languages for dynamic pages (Perl, PHP, Python, Tcl, and Java servlets) and the uses of each. They note that all of these pretty much do the same thing over all, but take pretty different paths to get there.
