Well, first off, there is much more news on NewbieNetwork and the new site that they are working on. He has a new news post that outlines some of the changes that he is making, including several code inhancements that will make the site faster.
Also, ZDNet has a small article about how MySQL is moving into the fast lane with the addition of transaction support. This allows it to be used for more commerce purposes and other things that it used to require PostgreSQL or Oracle or others for. I for one am glad to see transaction support being built in. That'll make my life easier on a few things.
