APress has come along with a new contest where you can win a Sony PSP or an iPod Shuffle. The object of the contest is to create a program that will produce a series of Mandelbrot fractals. You can utilize a variety of programming languages, including PHP.

Prizes will be awarded for the fastest program in each of the three language groups - C/C++, Perl/Python/PHP/LISP, and C#/Java/VB.NET. The fastest program overall will win the grand prize - a brand new Sony PSP.
