MySQL.com has added a new articles section and has their first article, An Introduction to MySQL. Looks like the MySQL.com guys want to get into more than just representing their software. Great job guys!
Also today, a friend of mine is working to start a "free database hosting service" and has a sample page and the basic idea up and ready to go. He says, "I have "wannabe" Database Admin blood coursing through my veins. I thought it might be fun to try running a free database host. This should free up administration headaches from casual users. I've created a simple login page at http://superid.dyndns.org:8080/freesql/index.php so remote users can create a database and experiment/learn/tinker. Hopefully, my grand plan of offering multiple free databases (besides MySQL) will pan out too! (Keep in mind this is just an experiment, and that I may have to limit users until I can add a drive) ."
