PHPEverywhere has a link to some great benchmarks that compare PHP, ASP, and Perl for serving up web pages. This one's a definite look and be sure to check out the graph. They do note, however, that the PHP results are not really "real world" becuse PHP doesn't cache scripts like the others do.
Also today, there is a new Zend.com tutorial on using PHP with ODBC. They tell a bit about what it is you're working with and how to use it effectively. And, as always, they also have the newest Weekly Summary posted. And finally, the NewbieNetwork has announced their hosting option more tailored towards web developers. There is a complete listing of the sample features on the front page over there. It's the newest part of the goodness that is the NewbieNetwork.
