Linux.com has an interview with PHP-dev member Shane Caraveo (of ActiveState) on the Future of PHP. He also goes on to talk about how PHP is a good fit for what ActiveState wants to do online. Thanks to PHPHead for the link.
Also today, PHPEverywhere has a nice link to a text document that talks about some pretty scary things - Exploiting Common Vulnerabilities in PHP Applications. Some of the things he talks about are things people notice every day, like being able to simply put the variables on the URL line and not having to really declare them. Some pretty interesting stuff, a good read - even for newbies.
And, just as a reminder, if you haven't already subscribed to the NewbieNetwork newsletter, there's no better time that the present! If you haven't subscribed, you've missed 10 great issues of PHP goodness, including several good topical discussions. So, what're you waiting for? Go subscribe!
