It apprears that the NewbieNetwork is cooking up some fun ideas with their NewbieNetwork Business Initiative. Looks to me like they are trying to do a bit of what Zend does with their products: provide the business world with the answers to some very important PHP-related questions.
Speaking of Zend, they have a new excerpt from the PHP Developer's Cookbook. If you haven't gotten this one and need a good, handy resource for some quick PHP solutions - get it. It's wonderful.
One of the things I've also been hearing about lately is a little thing called Ming. Ming (Flash Generation Library) is just like it sounds - some fun libraries to make Flash animations and movies using the PHP you already know.
