This past weekend, the EvilWalrus website has added their very own books section with a pretty complete selection of books, complete with reviews and vital stats about all of them. Be sure to check it out, especially if you're looking for that good first PHP book!
DynamicWebPages has a cool new tutorial that touches on Flash and PHP to work with databases and how it can be used together. He uses Flash 4 in his example, but notes that some of the ActionScript and all have been extended in Flash 5. This makes things a lot easier on the developer.Check this one out for another good Flash & PHP example (besides ours of course - heh)
And, of course, thanks to the guys over at Zend we have a new weekly summary detailing things including cURL bugs and some new XSLT extensions. They also have a neat little article about keeping code sane during a large project. They focus on CVS and the benefits of it to keep backups and make changes to files. No more shouting at people for changing or deleting your files! If you are a PHP deveopler and aren't the only one working on a project, look into CVS. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
