Now, normally, I don't post things about virus warnings, but I happened to get this one three times yesterday, so I wanted to at least touch on it. If you have gotten an email with an attachment and body copy along the lines of "Hi! How are you? I send you this file in order to have your advice" - get rid of it. It's a pretty obvious virus, but still - I was left wondering what it was. If you want some more info about it, check out this site.
And, from the fine folks at Zend comes their latest update on the status of the Zend Engine 2.0. It's kinda fun to keep track, but honestly, unless you're really into these, stick with the weekly PHP summaries.
Thanks to Arts once again (I just need to give that guy a news account) for some great links over on the O'Reilly web site. The first is a detailed look at PEAR and how to use the code it already has to work with your personal code. And, our second link is a fun little article, more for the newbies out there, that deals with making functions and how to really use them effectively. It's a good intro, but not much else.
