Well, if I understand things right (which I hope I do - thank you BabelFish!) it looks like ThinkPHP and MySQL are getting together to try to market MySQL to the business world and make it a "more serious" database contender. This would be a great boost for one of the most widely used open source DBs out there. Exposure to a whole new market is aways a good thing.

From Zend today, there is a new Weekly Chronicle for their Engine 2.0. Not many suprising details in this one, just a few bug fixes and some of the things that they discussed last time.

And, thanks to arts for submitting a cool little article about Fulltext Searching with PHP and MySQL. And not just fulltext searching, but boolean fulltext searching! (for those that don't know, this means you can use things like AND, NOT, and OR). This is a very cool idea and the article gives you all the code you need to get started.

As they get closer and closer to figuring out who committed these acts, I can't help but look back and think of how this will be remembered. The entire country was rattled by this trajedy - a nation shaken by senseless violence. I know that we all want the people who did this to be brought to swift justice, but please remember - we are still here, we are still the United States, and these acts will be avenged. I'll get off my soapbox now...
