Thanks to arts for submitting a link to a neat little article over on WebMonkey that covers a much-discussed topic - user passwords. There's always lots of talk about keeping your passwords secure, but they take it a step further. They give you some code to help you make sure that things work the way that you need them to, and that random passwords are ussally the best ones of all. They are so much harder to crack. (btw, one of the code examples is a random PHP password generator).

Alright, alright - I know it's not exactly PHP, but this XML-based stuff is just too cool to pass up. DevShed has a new article on XLink, one of the cooler aspects of XML. They allow you to link XML data together, much the way that hyperlinks link the data on the web together. XLink was designed to represent links in an abstract yet easily-understandable and usable manner. For those that think that's as clear as mud, check out the article - it'll make much more sense than I can do here.
