PHP, Zend, and DevShed on XML
Oct 17, 2001 @ 13:40:59

If you need a laugh this morning and havea few seconds to waste, head over to PHPEverwhere and check out some of the alternate meanings for "PHP". Not really news, but fun none the less.

Also, this morning from Zend we have two new things - first, there's the latest Zend Engine 2.0 Weekly Chronice for those that like those kinds of things, and second, there's the latest and greatest Code Gallery Spotlight. This one is Part 2 in the "Link Validation" series and shows you how to write the validation of the server which hosts the requested document.

Lastly today, I know it's not really PHP either, but trust me on this one - if you don't know XML, even a little bit, learn it. PHP's got some great functions to deal with it and parse it. And, what better way to learn than with an Intro to XML Schema from DevShed.com. This handly featureset allows you more flexibility in your XML and a bit more structure than a lot of the XML out there. Enjoy! Update: it appears that this link is no longer valid. Looks like they took it down for some reason. Keep checking the link for the repost.
