EvilWalrus.com is holding a "contest" of sorts. There's no real prizes except that the design that you generate might be use on the site - but they are making a request of the general PHP community for a new look and feel for the site (much like we're thinking about). Seems no one has quite hit on the ultimate design yet for a largely news-oriented site (and no, Slashdot doesn't count).

And, yes, I know it's not really PHP, but what's PHP coding without a good editor? The fine people over at Evolt.org have a new article about Macromedia's latest and greatest - Homesite 5. They get mainly into the new features that this version has. I wish there was more of a general overview, but this will work for those already familiar with the software.
