There's a neat new piece of software out there that was linked to over on PHPEverywhere called phpCron. One of the big pluses of phpCron over the normal UNIX cron is the graphical interface (yeah, I know - but it can help). This software can also be used on Windows systems too - so you cronless Win32 people can rejoice.

Also this morning, Zend has the last in the Link Validation series. This week, I'll show you how to use PHP to communicate with the server using the HTTP protocol, specifically the GET method. He shows you how to connect sockets to a server and use the response from the request to tell if the link is still there.

And, of course, trusty Netcraft has released their lastest Webserver Stats, including hwo many wise souls have decided to use Apache. Thanks to nfinitefx_ for the link.
