Well, first off - let me appologise for yesterday. I know I disappointed a few people (some who hunted me down) when I didn't post yesterday. Believe me, if there's anyone out there that wants to pay me to do this, I'd be more than happy to make it my top priority. Some of us do have real jobs, ya know (heh). Anyway, on with the news!

For those out there feeling nostalgic this time of year, we have a special treat for you - newbienetwork dug up the very first post that Rasmus made about PHP. It's pretty cool to see how far PHP really has come since Rasmus started working on them. And, ah, the wonders of Google.

And, yes, I know it's not PHP - but those who know me, know I'm a big XML fan. Well, DevShed has a new article posted this morning about some of the XPointer Basics. XPointer is still termed "experimental technology" by the W3C, but is can be very useful. Xpointer makes it possible to address specific nodes or ranges within an XML document in simpler and more efficient ways. So, for those out there not up on the lingo, this just means that you can do more XML linking in more ways than with XPath.
