Zend has a new article posted this morning - their latest "Trick of the Trade". This one covers the theory of caching and how to implement caching in your PHP scripts. Caching your scripts not only allows them to be faster than you probably need, but it also allows you to make larger sites that respond better under pressure.

One of the most widely used template engines with PHP, Smarty, has put out a new version. The latest version, v. 1.5.2, fixed a few small bugs with the previous version. It's not a "must have" upgrade, but you should check the ChangeLog to see if it effects your site.

If you haven't gotten the chance yet, you should take a look at Spoono.com. Not only is the site very well laid out and pleasing to use, but they also have a pretty good PHP tutorials section. Most of them are pretty simple ideas and dont have much "high end ideas" in them, but they are useful. Be sure to check them out.
