Well, it's good to see that there are companies out there that are using PHP as their primary source of drawing in a customer base. Leonid wrote in to tell me about his company, php developers,inc. that has quite a few things that they've done (that seem to be commercial) with PHP and things like MySQL, Javascript and even (cringe) ASP. So, here's proof more than anything that PHP is very useful from a business standpoint.

Right on the heals of PHP 4.1.0, they've released a new one - PHP 4.1.1. There's only a few fixes on this one, just a few little things that didn't pop up when 4.1.0 was going to be released. Most of them were small bugs, but one thing for you Windows users - they improved the stability of it under Windows with Windows .NET / IIS 6. They hope it'll help other versions of IIS too (and trust me, it needs some help - heh).

Last night, asside from getting some new tutorials done on the new phpdeveloper site, i got some of the "skinning" introduced. You can mess with it if you have an older account. I don't have signups over there yet because I don't really need to have them yet (until we move over for good). If you have one though, go to the site and log in, then go to "Change your theme" and mess with it there. It all uses sessions, so you have to click to the next page to get them to show up, but I think it's a good start. Also, feel free to suggest new theme colors or places you think it would be good to have different colors in the site. This should help those who didn't think the contrast was enough on the current look. Enjoy - and test away!
