New from Zend this morning, is their latest PHP Weekly Summary covering the issues that passed this last week.

There's a special note in this one about the two year anniversary of the PHP Weekly Summary being put out by Zend. Another note that's a bit interesting - there's talk of removing the PHP ASCII logo from the text-based phpinfo() pages. The argument here is that the backslash could be any number of characters in other character encodings, and thus would make the logo look bad.

On a more upbeat note, Andrei made the comment earlier this week that he wants to branch to PHP 4.3.0 pretty soon, just as quickly as a few bugs can be addressed. And, finally, for you developers out there looking to get involved with the PHP project (actually working on PHP extensions, but close enough), Sterling Hughes, maintainer of the cURL and ADT extensions for PHP is getting out of the business and is looking for someone to help him out.
