Symfony Project:
Yahoo! Booksmarks uses symfony
October 30, 2006 @ 12:52:00

On the symfony blog today, there's a new post talking about a newly discovered site using their framework - the Yahoo! Bookmarks website.

But the real news about the new Yahoo! Bookmarks is that it was built with symfony. Why did Yahoo! choose our framework? According to Michael Salisbury, Technical Yahoo!, who was kind enough to give us his feedback, [it was] the major strengths of symfony over its competitors.

The advantages mentioned were the great documentation, explicit and extensive configurability, it's active development, and the reuse of "best of breed" components rather than just remaking it all themselves. Check out the post for the full details and this screencast for more.
