Liip Blog: phpDay Italy
by Chris Cornutt May 11, 2010 @ 08:12:09
On the Liip blog there's a recent post talking about an upcoming PHP-related conference happening in Corropoll, Italy - phpDay.
More than any year this May is packed with exciting web conferences all around Europe and this year's Italian phpDay conference promises to be one of them. From May 13th to 15th the Italian PHP user group (GrUSP) will host the phpDay conference in the lovely town of Corropoli on the adriatic coast.
This year's event is focusing more on quality assurance and helping developers write better code. The author Memi Beltrame will be presenting a talk on how to handle projects when they get to a larger size than the average and some strategies of how to deal with them. Other speakers include Kore Nordmann, Fabien Potencier and Felix de Vliegher.
You can find out more about the event, happening May 13th through 15th, from the phpDay website.

Community News: Italian phpDay 2008 Call for Papers
by Chris Cornutt January 21, 2008 @ 13:46:55
Francesco Fullone wrote in with some new information those near Rimini, Italy should take a look at - this year's Italian phpDay 2008
This year's Italian phpDay 2008 that my pug (GrUSP.it) organizes in Rimini is coming at the end of May. This is the 5th edition of the event, and as usual it will be free for all. The main topic on this year will be the goPHP5 initiative, so there'll be a lot of talks on php5 only frameworks, migration, and other related topics.
Francesco and his fellow user group members will be hosting the even this coming May on the 23rd and 24th in Rimini, Italy. They've posted their Call for Papers to their wiki too. They're looking for papers around their PHP5 theme - migration between PHP4->PHP5, CMF and CMSes, Cross-platform/language programming, etc. You can also sign up to be a sponsor for the event too!

Tobias Schlitt's Blog: phpDay in Italy
by Chris Cornutt April 25, 2006 @ 06:42:55
In a new post, Tobias Schlitt mentions an invite he's recieved to the phpDay happening in Bari, Italy in May (the 19th-20th).
Since I think that Bari in May must be beautiful, I accepted to go there from May 19th until May 21st. I'm pretty much looking forward to this event, since it means to get to know a lot of new people. If you are located in Italy and are interested on PHP, it would be a pleasure, if you join my talk about eZ components there.
phpDay is organized by the GrUSP and is the third year it's happened. It's divided up into two different tracks - a Enterprise track for companies/business and a Developer track for the technically minded. You can get complete information on the other talks and on registration from their site
