Webhole.net:
Best Buy Search API Tutorial
April 30, 2010 @ 10:09:45

On Webhole.net there's a new tutorial showing you how to connect your application with the Best Buy's Remix API, a web services interface into Best Buy's product information, pricing, availability and more.

I just had an idea for a website, it uses the Best Buy's Remix API so I had to learn to use it and now I want to show you how easy it is. You can only do one thing with this API and that is search. But search is subdivided into six sections: products, stores, categories, reviews, search and search bias

Once you've gotten an API key you can get started and follow along with the sample code to make a sample query on Best Buy's data for whatever search term you'd like. Their example returns the results as an XML document but json is also an option.
