php[architect], the people behind the popular php[tek] conference held each year in Chicago, have officially announced their new event: php[world]. The php[world] conference will be held in November in Washington, D.C.

The team at php[architect] magazine is excited to bring you a brand new conference in the Washington, DC area. [...] We wanted to create a conference however that appealed to the all the different communities that exist around the PHP ecosystem. [...] We are designing this conference to bring the entire world of PHP development together in one place!

Additionally, they've also announced the opening of their Call for Papers as well as information about the venue how to register for the event. Early Bird tickets are available until July 28th for Corporate, Individual and Student pricing.

Thinking about what might be of interest to you readers out there, I came up with the idea to summarize what happend last week in phpworld. it's quite interesting that there were some summaries of most relevant mailingslists around at Zend - and that there is a new weekly summary for the Zend framework, but no one ever made a weekly digest of what was relevant in phpworld "the last week". So, all you readers out there, tell me if you like it, then there will be some continuation...
