SymfonyLive Berlin 2018 Call for Papers
Jul 18, 2018 @ 20:38:01

On the Symfony project blog they've posted an announcement about the opening of the SymfonyLive Berlin 2018 Call for Papers.

Berlin will see its next SymfonyLive from October 24th to 26th! This year, we are moving to a new, but familiar, venue: the Mercure MOA, where the international SymfonyCon 2016 took place.

As usual for the Berlin edition, we will have two days of workshops, and a single day conference with two tracks full of talks about Symfony and related technologies.

The call for papers is open and will end July 31st. They're looking for a wide range of topics including developer workflows, modern Javascript and, of course, Symfony features. The post also talks about what kind of speakers they're looking for and about the workshop schedule.

Symfony Live Berlin 2013
Oct 11, 2013 @ 15:49:05

On the Symfony Blog today there's a new post talking about Symfony Live Berlin coming up next month (November 7th and 8th) with a free hack day following.

This year has already seen a few successful Symfony Live conferences in Paris, Portland, and London. But we got one more - Symfony Live Berlin is approaching fast! From November 7th to 8th, there will be again talks and workshops in Germany's capital city. Additionally, we will host a free hack day on Saturday, November 9th. We will return to last year's location, the Umweltforum Berlin - an over 100 year old church!

They talk about what's different than past years - dedicated language sessions, offering the Symfony certification exam and the previously mentioned hack day following the main event. You can see the full schedule for the event here or just pick up some last minute tickets if you'd like to attend.

Let's end this year with a blast!
Oct 16, 2012 @ 16:54:25

On the Symfony blog there's a new post talking about the last stop on their Symfony Live tour - Berlin at the end of November (22nd and 23rd).

To round up a wonderful year of Symfony Live conferences in Paris, London, and San Francisco, we're going to bring our tour to an end in Berlin. Symfony Live Berlin is going to take place this November on the 22nd and 23rd. As an exclusive event location we have chosen the Umweltforum Berlin - an over 100 year old church!

The first day (22nd) will be a day devoted to the "Symfony Ecosystem", things related to the framework and its community but not it directly. The second day (23rd) will be the more specific Symfony-related sessions (the list is here). There'll also be a few other events happening at the same time - a hackathon, the certification exam will be offered and an after-party will be held following the final keynote.

PHP Testfest Berlin 2009
May 12, 2009 @ 17:05:46

Christian Weiske has posted about his experience at this year's TestFest in Belin (as hosted by the Berlin PHP User Group).

I spent the last weekend (may 09/10) on the PHP Testfest Berlin, organized by Till for the Berlin PHP Usergroup. Coming from Leipzig, I don't really know who of the other 8 people were from the user group and who not.

He mentions issues the group faced (OS X being difficult, PHP from CVS not compiling), the intro to testing and their first area of choice - gettext (which they got up to 98.8% coverage!). The second and third efforts were some work done on the intl and sockets extensions.

Mar 26, 2009 @ 15:25:53

Felix Geisendorfer has posted about an up coming CakePHP-related event - this year's CakeFest (to be held in Berlin).

I will make this short. The 3rd and so far biggest CakeFest will be held in Berlin, home of Debuggable! From July 9-12, people from all over Europe and the rest of the world will travel to Germany in order to celebrate and learn about the best PHP framework there is.

The even is broken into two parts - the workshop portion (July 9th and 10th) and the actual conference (July 11th and 12th). You can find out more information about the conference at its web site (including registering and reserving your spot!)
