SitePoint PHP Blog:
PHP Conf Lon Live [1]
Feb 10, 2006 @ 13:04:48

Harry Fuecks is attending the PHP Conference UK and has posted this new item on the SitePoint PHP Blog with his thoughts so far.

So made it back to Britain and met up with the PHP London group last night as the warm up to todays conference.

All I can say is if you’re in London and not getting to the PHP London meetups, you’re missing out. Attendance varies but usually ten regulars on a low turn out up to 30 on a good night (like when Rasmus drops by).

He's also included a "live" blogging session, noting that the crowd bumped up to around 160 visitors and a mention of the talk that Derick Rethans is giving on the eZ components. There's some pictures included as well, including a shot of the (rather large) crowd.

PHP Kitchen:
Last Chance for PHP Conference UK Early Bird Tickets
Feb 01, 2006 @ 13:33:14

In this latest post on PHP Kitchen from Demian Turner, there's a reminder that the deadline of the "Early Bird" tickets for the PHP UK Conference is getting close.

There are only a few seats left for London's first PHP Conference happening Feb 10th, 2006. And if you buy before Feb 3rd, 2006 it will only cost you 73 Euro, after that prices go up to (about) 110 Euro. So if you're a PHP developer in the UK, or anywhere in Europe for that matter, reserve this weekend and treat yourself to a great event.

Also, we've had some last minute luck and will now be able to offer wifi access to delegates.

The Early Bird pricing expires on February 3rd and tickets can be purchased directly from the website. The actual conference is happening the 10th of February in London - check out their page for all of the details...

Christopher Kunz's Blog:
PHP Conference UK
Jan 19, 2006 @ 12:44:11

On his blog today, Christopher Kunz has his latest post in which he talks about the PHP Conference UK that's fast approaching - and the talk he's giving there.

I am going to speak on the PHP Conference UK which will be held at South Bank University, London, UK on February 10th, 2006. Yes guys, that's in less than three weeks.

php.net has the following to say about the event: "Not bad for 50 quid", and I think that's kinda true. Amongst others, book author Harry Fuecks and Derick "the ez photographer" Rethans will be speaking, so register now!

His talk will focus on the Hardening-Patch for PHP, including installation, configuration, and demoing some examples...

SitePoint PHP Blog:
PHP Conference UK - 10th Feb 2006
Jan 06, 2006 @ 13:18:04

On the SitePoint PHP Blog today, Harry Fuecks has his take on the upcoming PHPCon UK 2006 happening in London on February 10th.

In London in February? Check out the PHP Conference UK 2006, taking place at the Keyworth Centre right next to Waterloo station and Southbank University.

Organisation is thanks to Marcus and members of the PHP London User Group. The price (**cough** unlike most conferences **cough**) is something you can actually afford - 50.00 GBP [~$90] if you register early - which you'll need to as there’s only so much space at the venue.

It's a one day event and the speakers are Derick Rethans, Pavel Kovsloski, Christopher Kunz, Matt Zandstra (author of PHP 5 Objects, Patterns, and Practice) and, err.., well me in fact.

The rest of the post is taken up with Harry asking for some help with a subject for his talk - either "parsing with PHP" or a more Web 2.0 topic...

Derick Rethans' Blog:
PHPCon UK Reminder (and talk info)
Jan 06, 2006 @ 12:43:28

Derick Rethans has this note on his blog today with a reminder of the PHP Conference happening in London in February and the talk he's giving.

On Friday the 10th of February 2006 I will be presenting a talk on the eZ components at the PHPCon in London. In this talk I will explain the structure, contents and workings of the eZ components library. It should give a good overview of its architecture and at the same time give you an introduction on how to use the components. This conference is extremely cheap and there is a good line up of speakers. If you have time, please join!

The PHPCon UK 2006 is targeted at all levels of developer - from programmers to business types, and those attending will be able to meet and greet over 230 other participants this year. There are also informal events planned for some evenings, allowing conference-goers to interact even more. Best of all it's cheap, and there are still spots left - so sign up today!
