Episode 63: Made in Ontario
Aug 12, 2015 @ 17:47:11

The /Dev/Hell podcast, hosted by PHP community members Chris Hartjes and Ed Finkler, has posted their latest episode - Episode #63: Made in Ontario.

So we recorded this nearly two months ago, but some family stuff delayed the release of this and Episode 64 (coming very soon). On this episode we talk about large developers, cars, Ed learning Java against his will, and Chris re-learning how to teach people.

You can listen to this latest episode either through the in-page audio player or by downloading the mp3 of the show. If you enjoy it, be sure to subscribe to their feed or sign up for their mailing list to get information about episodes as they're released.

PHP Niagara User Group Kickoff
Nov 09, 2012 @ 17:34:22

For those in the St. Catharines area of Ontario looking for a group of like-minded PHP developers to hang out with, you're in luck. Mike Cousins has helped to start up PHP Niagara, a group for PHP and web development fans/professionals in the area.

The PHP Niagara Users Group is for PHP and related Web developers in the Greater Niagara area; whether you're a seasoned veteran or struggling with your first WordPress blog, you're welcome to come out and learn, network, share, and have a good time.

Their first meeting is happening December 6th in St. Catharines at the Coffee Culture on St. Paul Street at 7pm. It won't be a formal meeting, just a "get to know each other" kind of meetup with planning for the future. Because of the venue, space is limited, so be sure to RSVP early if you'd like to attend. You can also follow the group on Twitter for their latest updates!
