Client Inc. is seeking to hire a Software Engineer with extensive web based programming experience. We are looking for a creative, innovative Software Engineer with broad experience, and a passion for creating world-class solutions to support our product test groups. This person will be a designer and implementer who is an expert in PHP, JavaScript (including AJAX), and MSSQL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position is part of a small team developing a 2nd generation test management web application for various product test groups responsible for the verification and validation of features associated with our storage array products. Candidates must have skills to integrate JavaScript, HTML/CSS front ends with Java/PHP backend systems, i.e. experience integrating front-end pages to server-side technologies.

• Develops code to meet functional and architectural requirements
• Applies object-oriented designs and analysis techniques, communicated through UML
• Creates & enhances web application library components
• Develops complex web application features including implementation, test, and integration

Additional Responsibilities:
In addition, the successful candidate will join a software engineering group responsible for the new development, enhancement, support, and maintenance of a suite of integrated applications critical to operation of our internal and OEM product test groups.

• Heavy interaction with fellow developers and team architect
• Works closely with end users to isolate and characterize application defects
• Comfortable in a deadline-driven environment
• Collaborates with stakeholders to design, implement, monitor and maintain stability of effective system solutions.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and other activities from time to time as directed.

Skills: Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of PHP 5 and MSSQL are highly valued assets
• Expert in object-oriented programming techniques
• Solid experience and debugging skills with JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XHTML / HTML, & DOM
• Expert in object-oriented analysis and design using UML
• Familiarity with JSON
• Familiarity with Yahoo! User Interface (YUI) Library
• Familiarity with MVC Architectural Patterns & Frameworks
• Solid technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Cross-platform, and cross-browser development experience is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well developed interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities
• Must have the ability to work as part of a small team
• Must have the ability to work unsupervised
• Knowledge of storage array technologies is an asset
• Knowledge of product test environments is an asset

Education: Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 4+ years web development experience
